Salman Khan Hit And Run Case: Prosecutor Questions On Driver’s Statement

Salman-Hit-And-Run-DriverAs reported earlier that Salman Khan’s hit and run case trial to take place today on April 6, the prosecution has rejected Salman Khan’s driver Ashok Singh’s statement.

Today during the trial of the case, driver Ashok Singh was asked why was he silent for the last 12 years and didn’t come up with the statement before. During the last trial the driver in his last statement said that it was he behind the wheel during the accident and not Salman Khan.

The prosecution stated that it seems to be brought up witness whose contention was belated and introduced only towards the end of the court proceedings.

Salman Khan who was present at the court today said that it was his driver on the wheel during the 2002 hit and run case killing one and injuring four at the time of accident. The prosecutor Pradeep Gharat today argued while making his final arguments in the session court.

The prosecutor argued that Salman Khan did not mentioned about his driver Ashok Singh before during any trail till date and disclosed it when his statement was recorded.

During this argument the judge asked the actor if he wished to examine himself. To this Salman Khan replied negative.

Pradeep Gharat argued that even before during the beginning of the trial Salman Khan did not disclose anything about his driver driving the car at the relevant time.

During the last trial, the driver gave his statement on March 30, 2015, saying that it was he driving the car and not Salman Khan. He was asked why he is approaching the court after more than 12 years of accident. He said Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan had advised him to tell the truth to the court. The driver had also denied that he paid money to confess the truth.

The driver told the court that he was driving when the tyre burst and the brake jammed. He saw some people were trapped beneath. He got out of the car from the right side and Salman Khan too got out of the right side as the left door was jammed.

He also said that he tried to lift the Toyota car but could not do it. He than dialed 100 and went to the police station and narrated the accident.

For the first time in 13 years Salman Khan gave his statement on 2002 hit and run case on March 27, 2015. The actor in his statement said that he wasn’t driving the car, which rammed over people, killing one person and injuring four. In fact the actor denied all the charges that he has been claimed with.

He also claimed that it was his driver who was driving the actor. He said that since his door was jammed, he had to get out of the car from the driver’s side.
