The whole issue about demolishing the ramp in front of Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow started after BJP MP Poonam Mahajan from Mumbai North Central wrote a letter to BMC asking them to demolish the ramp in front of the actor SRK’s bunglow Mannat in Bandra. There were also complaints from the residents about the chaos and traffic build-up that the ramp caused.
Today BMC authorities are going to ask SRK to remove the ramp within a week. Additional Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Deshmukh told PTI, “We will be issuing him (Khan) a notice tomorrow.”

Poonam Mahajan wrote to municipal commissioner Sitaram Kunte on January 29 and asked him to get the illegal ramp demolished. As per the reports, Mahajan has written letter after the residents met her and showed her documents that proved that the area where the ramp was built comes under government and is a part of the road, and should be handed over to the public for use.
However, in the letter, Poonam did not mention Mr. Khan. She only said that the ramp constructed by “one bungalow owner” was causing “permanent obstruction to people accessing the public road”.
