MUMBAI: Reports, rumors and a hell lot of gossip has been doing the rounds lately about an alleged affair going on between Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his ‘Don’ co-star Priyanka Chopra.
Recently a leading tabloid made a new revelation. The paper reported that Shah Rukh Khan was advocating Priyanka as his co-star in Farah Khan’s next project ‘Happy New Year’.
The daily stated, “What is also working in PeeCee’s favour is SRK’s seal of approval. Sources close to both the stars say that a defiant Khan has been functioning ‘like a man possessed’.”
The King of Romance SRK though, has repeatedly denied these rumours and even displayed his anger at the false buzz. After the report was published, Shah Rukh took to twitter to vent out the anger.
“When a persons words and body language are in conflict they are usually lying. A lot like the headline words of tabloids and their body of content,” wrote SRK.
A little while later, almost as an after thought he added, “Most of the time people don’t want to get to know you, instead they want to tell you, who they think you are. Let them maintain their fictions about you.”
Priyanka took the media reports with a pinch of salt. Obviously since the rumours have been making the rounds so often, she has decided not to let them affect her.
Priyanka tweeted, “Agreed @iamsrk ! And by the way! I guess its only cause fiction is so much more interesting, na? Haha! Hope shoot’s going super!”
In an interview the actress too refused to talk about ‘Happy New Year’. Priyanka maintained “I am very excited for the remake of ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Gunday’, my biopic on Mary Kom and ‘Krrish 3’.” Ask her if there is any other movie on the anvil? And she gives you a resounding ‘No’.
A tight lipped Farah Khan told the press: “My next project ‘Happy New Year’, will go on the floors in April 2013 and we will announce the star cast in January next year. You may speculate if you want to… but I cannot disclose any name right now.”
After the publishing of the report though, Farah was not so composed. She wrote, “Every morning I get up and read some made up crap about Happy New Year. When the ‘journalists’ have decided who our leading lady will be kindly inform us too!”
