Shah Rukh Khan And Wankhede Brawl: Here’s What The Police Said Recently

In 2012, Shah Rukh Khan landed in trouble when he was accused of abusing under the influence of alcohol at the Wankhede stadium. It was reported that he used abusive language in front of the minors, which was wrong. However, the police in a statement said that SRK was not drunk and did not use abusive language before the minors.

When police did not register the case before, the complainant and a social activist, Amit Maru, filed a petition before the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR). In the same, he said that the actor has used foul language in front of the children.

After the brawl, the then Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president, Vilasrao Deshmukh had banned the Dilwale actor for five years from entering Wankhede. Maru told that SRK used this abusive language because he was drunk. His lawyer Aditya Pratap also said, “Even the MSCPCR had gone through the case and ordered registration of FIR. A clear case under the Juvenile Justice Act is made out when someone uses abusive language before children. The job of the police was to do a fair inquiry and not be under the influence of certain people.” The Mumbai Police submitted the report in September.

However, the Mumbai Police stated that after the investigation, it was found that no cognisable offence had taken place. In his statement, King Khan also said that after Kolkata Knight Riders won the match that day, his kids Aryan and Suhana and their friends entered the ground. The security guard, Vikas Dalvi asked them to leave. It was then SRK told Dalvi that the kids were with him. SRK even told his business manager Kauna Badwal to take the kids away. And then a man wearing yellow shirt and specs started abusing and this annoyed the actor and they were fighting. Meanwhile, Mumbai Cricket Association members and Chief Operating Officer of IPL Sundar Raman had reached the spot.

When they told both of them to cool down, SRK left the ground. The FAN actor also stated that all the videos and images making around the internet were false. When there were foul words exchanged between him and the security guard, the kids had already left the place with Badwal. He also said that Maru is just trying to ruin his image and gain cheap publicity.

Also, Sundar Raman in his statement said that King Khan did not use any abusive words in front of the kids. He also doubts if Khan was drunk at that point. However, last year itself, the ban on SRK’s entry in Wankhede stadium was lifted.
