Shah Rukh Khan’s home production company Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. announced that the 2014 Diwali release, Happy New Year, will be distributed worldwide exclusively by Yash Raj Films. Happy New Year will release simultaneously all over the world in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Happy New Year is being directed by Farah Khan and the film stars Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah.
Post Happy New Year, Shah Rukh Khan, will begin work on Maneesh Sharma’s Fan. Shah Rukh Khan who has the one of the greatest fan following globally, is all set to essay a role of a fan.
A special look has been worked on for Shah Rukh in Fan and very recently the renowned special effects make-up maestro, Greg Cannom, has been roped in to develop Shah Rukh Khan‘s look for the film.
Greg Cannom spent considerable time at the Yash Raj Studios with Shah Rukh, director Maneesh Sharma and producer Aditya Chopra discussing the same.
Greg Cannom, has been nominated for nine Academy Awards and has won an Oscar three times for the memorable looks he created in Dracula (1992), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button (2008) apart from several other prestigious awards.
Speaking about the look, Maneesh said, ”We are attempting a never-seen before look for Shah Rukh Khan which will be both challenging for us and exciting for the viewer. Understandably, this will be kept under wraps till the first look of the film is revealed.”
Directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra, Fan has been written by Habib Faisal, and goes on floor on June 2014. The film releases worldwide on August 14, 2015.
