Shah Rukh Khan, whom millions of people all over the world adore and who has millions of fans all across the globe, is gearing up to play the ultimate “fan” himself, in YRF’s upcoming film, Fan.
To play the role of a fan, understandably superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s look will have to be altered considerably. Since people identify with him as a megastar, and for years have adored his silky long tresses, the makers of Fan want to experiment with King Khan’s looks for the film.
For work on the film begins in July 2014, and the first look test has already been conducted. Renowned Hollywood makeup guru and special effects maestro Greg Cannom has been roped in to oversee the transformation.
Who Is Greg Cannom:
A Hollywood expert, Greg is responsible for the incredible, jaw-dropping transformations of Brad Pitt (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Robin Williams (Mrs. Doubtfire) and Gary Oldman (Dracula). For his work, Greg has been nominated numerous times for the Academy Awards, and has even won it for the above mentioned films! With such credentials, one can be rest assured that Shah Rukh’s metamorphosis in the film will be spellbinding!
The film, Fan, has been written by Habib Faisal (of Ishaqzaade and Do Dooni Chaar fame), directed by Maneesh Sharma and will be produced by Aditya Chopra. The film is looking at an August 2015 release.
Said Maneesh, visibly kicked about the prospect of presenting arguably India’s biggest superstar SRK in a new light, “We are attempting a never-seen before look for Shah Rukh Khan which will be both challenging for us and exciting for the viewer. Understandably, this will be kept under wraps till the first look of the film is revealed.”
