MUMBAI: David Dhawan’s comic caper ‘Chashme Baddoor’, produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, starring Ali Zafar, Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma and Taapsee, has seen a good first weekend at the box office.

Though the remake film released on the same weekend as the original ‘Chashme Buddoor’, audiences have seemingly appreciated David Dhawan’s efforts.

As reported, on Day 1, ‘Chashme Baddoor’ managed a fair approximate Rs 54 million (5.4 crore) net.

Day 2, Saturday and Day 3, Sunday saw an upswing, with the 3 day total of the film in the range of Rs 190 million (Rs 19 crore) net.

The film understandably has managed to tickle multiplexes audiences’ funny bone, and this has contributed to it’s fair share of business, rather than single screen theatres.
