Remember Om Shanti Om? Remember the stardom Deepika instantly got after the break with Shah Rukh Khan? The lady today rules B-Town as the queen of Bollywood. Remember Anushka Sharma as Taani in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, she is one of the leading faces of Bollywood of today’s generation. That’s the perk of co-starring with Shah Rukh Khan.
Raees’s leading love Mahira Khan could be a Deepika-Anushka clone after Raees, but she got unlucky when Indian government declared the ban of Pakistani artists after Uri attacks.
Raees could have easily been a big break for Mahira Khan after all she look stunning in the trailer and looks highly impactful with her role in the film. Call it the favour of Pakistani artists’ ban in India, Raees will sadly be Mahira’s first and last film in India. And this can be assured due to the strict amendment brought by the Indian government.
Luckily Raees crossed a smooth passage for going ahead unlike Ae Dil Hai Mushkil because the movie was shot way before the Uri attacks that created more tensions between Ino-Pak. Well, director Rahul Dholakia has assured to get Mahira Khan for the promotions and actively participate in the promotions and events as she plays an equally important role.
During the trailer launch of Raees, Rahul clearly said that if the team finds it necessary to bring Mahira for promotions, she’ll definitely be there. There is no restriction from government on Mahira to attend the promotions. He commented that the government has only restricted for collaborating over projects hereafter. They haven’t stopped issuing Visas and that’s why Mahira Khan can definitely be there for the events.
We all are desperate to see the Pakistani actress opposite Shah Rukh Khan and hope she gets the fruits for her hard work in Raees.
