Rangoon will bring Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj together for the third time. The duo wowed the audiences with their last two films- Kaminey and Haider. The Shaandaar actor recently opened up about it and said that he wants to live up to the expectations of the filmmaker. “I am very curious as I haven’t seen the film yet. I just met Vishal sir and requested him to show me the film as I am extremely nervous because this is my third film with Vishal sir. People appreciated our previous collaborations so you know, you don’t want to fall short of everyone’s expectations,” said the actor.
When Sasha was asked what kind of films he would prefer watching at a stage like MAMI, he said, “Haider or Udta Punjab because I think they are more relevant and they are trying to break through in terms of cinema that works”. Well, we must say that in the recent years Shahid Kapoor has given critically acclaimed films and the same we expect with Rangoon and Padmavati.
Rangoon is a romantic drama film set during World War II and it also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles. Apart from this, Padmavati will be helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it would feature Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the key roles.
