Uday Kiran, one of the prominent faces of the Telugu Film Industry committed suicide by hanging himself in his flat at Srinagar Colony, Punjagutta on Sunday night, January 05, 2014 ending his life just twenty days ahead of his thirty forth birthday.
Kiran’s wife Vishitha and neighbours rushed him to Apollo hospital at Jubilee Hills after finding his body hanging to the ceiling in a room late on Sunday night but by the time they reached the hospital and the doctors could attend to him he had already passed away. The Doctors of the hospital declared him brought dead.
At the time this incident took place, Kiran was alone in his house, as his wife had gone to Manikonda on some personal work. She grew suspicious, as Kiran was not responding to her phone calls and rushed home only to find him dead
Popular for his romantic roles in Telugu films, the actor made his debut with Telugu film Chitram directed by Teja in the year 2000. The film went on to become a blockbuster. With films like Nuvvu Neenu, Manasantha Nuvve and Sriram, Kiran consolidated his position at the Box-Office as they proved to be a milestone in his career establishing him as one of the most sort after romantic hero’s.
Kiran was born on January 26, 1980. He got engaged to the daughter of mega star and Union Minister Chiranjeevi, Sushmitha in 2003 but the engagement was subsequently broken due to incompatibility issues. He then got married to his long time friend Vishitha on October 24, 2012.
Actor Srikanth expressing his shock over Kiran’s death said that the police should ascertain causes that compelled him to resort to the extreme step. Music director Patnaik expressed his heartfelt condolences.
Though the exact reasons are unknown, the primary reports suggest that the actor was depressed about his career and financial status as well.
