While pursuing meaty roles in films like Student Of The Year and 2 States, Alia Bhatt is equally interested in typical commercial cinema with a lot of action or comedy and now wants to team up with Rohit Shetty.
Talking about the choices she makes, Alia Bhatt said, “I just don’t want to be a love interest in a film, I should have that equal effect. I don’t want to be just standing over there in one frame I can’t do that. That does not mean I don’t want to do commercial films. I want to do all the commercial films. I want to work with Rohit Shetty like a full comedy and action, but a good role.”
Coming to her father, Mahesh Bhatt, Alia Bhatt wants her father to pen down an intense film for her and has expressed her desire to work with her father. “I want him to write a script for me. It should be an intense power-packed film,” stated Alia Bhatt.
Mahesh Bhatt who last directed Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff starrer Kartoos in 1999 has been behind films like Arth, Sadak, Naam, Saaransh and Aashiqui and many more.
“I wish to be directed by my father who has done tremendous good work for cinema. It is a dream. I have told him several times. But he doesn’t listen, he just does not want to direct a film, but he can write. I know when he will write a script he will be actively involved in film-making process.” stated a vicious Alia Bhatt.
However, Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan, will soon be directing a movie Love Affair, which is a passionate love story. Alia has confirmed that though her mother is directing the film, she will not be a part of it as she doesn’t fit in the movie in terms of the character or the story.
