Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historical upcoming film Padmavati has found itself in the midst of a fresh controversy.

The troubles for Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh starrer are increasing. Reportedly, after Jaipur attack, Bhansali shifted the sets of the film to Kolhapur in Maharashtra in order to resume the shooting of the film. Unfortunately, if reports are to be believed, the sets were once again attacked on Tuesday night.

According to reports, 40-50 unidentified men tried to vandalize the sets and set it on fire. They even started throwing stones and damaged most of the property. Even the cars parked outside the sets were damaged. Reportedly, the police have arrested few culprits who were involved in attacking Padamavati sets in Kolhapur.

Well, the makers of the film had already made it clear that no romantic scenes between Rani Padmini to be played by Deepika Padukone and 14th-century emperor Alauddin Khilji to be played by Ranveer Singh, will be added in the film.

The controversy against the film started after the members of a Rajput group, Karni Sena, protested against Padmavati. This was for alleging distorting historical facts by the filmmaker. The shooting of the film was stopped in Jaigarh fort, which had triggered outrage in the film industry.

After the physical attack on filmmaker Bhansali and his crew in Jaipur, reportedly the film will not release in Rajasthan. Last month, the state minister had made it clear that the film will not be released in Rajasthan untill it is shown to the Rajput community leaders.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historic film Padmavati features Deepika Padukone as queen Padmavati opposite Shahid Kapoor who will be seen as her husband, Ratan Singh. Ranveer Singh portrays the character of Alauddin Khilji in the movie.[/tps_footer]
