PUNE: Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ameesha Patel, both have been out of action for a while. While Neil did feature in Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘David’ and the dud ‘3G’, Ameesha Patel was last seen in Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Race 2’.

Both these actors are sharing screen space in Susi Ganeshan’s ‘Shotcut Romeo’, which marks the debut of the Tamil director into Hindi cinema. The actors were recently spotted at an event conducted by Woods Entertainment, which was the launch of Jaipur Premier League-Season 2.

Neil Nitin Mukesh was spotted wearing blue denims, grey t-shirt and a black jacket. Ameesha Patel was dressed in a yellow-black frock.

Neil and Ameesha were quite upbeat about their upcoming film and posed for photographs and answered questions to media. Both the actor’s recent films have not quite packed the punch at the box-office and Susi Ganeshan’s ‘Shortcut Romeo’ will be the best way to make a comeback of sorts.

‘Shortcut Romeo’, a remake of Susi Ganeshan’s own Tamil film ‘Thiruttu Payale’, which released way back in 2006, has Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ameesha Patel and Puja Gupta in the lead. Himesh Reshammiya has composed music for the film. ‘Shortcut Romeo’ is set to release on 21 June.

The film has been in the news ever-since it has been confirmed that Ameesha Patel plays a negative role in the film.

With Susi Ganeshan trying to make his mark in Bollywood and Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ameesha Patel trying to resurrect their sagging careers, well there surely is a lot at stake.
