[tps_footer]Daughter of Superstar Kamal Haasan and Sarika, Shruti Haasan who was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, after she had suffered a severe stomach pain, possibly due to food poisoning but has been operated upon for appendicitis and is recovering.
The actress, who is in city, was busy promoting her forthcoming release Yevadu. Shruti Haasan is playing one of the two female leads in Ram Charan Teja starrer Yevadu. She was present at its app launch of the movie when she complained of the pain. The actress says that she is recovering from Appendicitis.
In a statement to the media, the official spokesperson for Yevadu said, “Shruti was admitted to Jubilee Hills Apollo hospital after she complained of a severe stomach ache. She is currently undergoing treatment.” He added, “Despite her shooting pain, she attended the app launch of our film. Soon after the event, she was taken to the hospital.”
Post the surgery Shruti wrote on twitter, “Hello Tweeps. Thank You for all your love and get well soon wishes! Appendix out and raring to go.”
It is said that the doctors who are attending to her shall decide when will she get a discharge. If all goes well, it is expected that Shruti will get back at work in a week’s time. The beautiful actress recently was in Chennai to celebrate the New Year with her dad Kamal Haasan.
Post her discharge, Shruti will resume work on her Telugu film Race Gurram, opposite Allu Arjun. She is also in talks with a couple of makers down South who want her to sing for their films.
Coming to Bollywood, she has her hands full with projects like Welcome Back starring John Abraham and Anil Kapoor followed by Gabbar, which is the remake of Tamil super hit film Ramana, in which she is paired opposite Akshay Kumar.
