NEW DELHI: Bollywood style diva Sonam Kapoor was recently in the capital, to announce the launch of the first ever Delhi edition of the ‘India International Jewelry Week’, organised by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).
Sonam Kapoor, who is GJEPC brand ambassador, announced the launch of the first edition of the India International Jewellery Week by the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO). The fair will take place from April 6 till April 9, 2013 in New Delhi.
“I wear a lot of real jewellery. I think instead of buying copious amount of junk jewellery, it is better to have one real piece of it.” Sonam also added that she feels diamonds are a girl’s best friend because “they shine, are beautiful and there is something very attractive in them.”
Rumour has it that the fashionable beauty is all set to don the garb of a black gown and coat, with breeches for her role as a lawyer in YRF’s next. In this film, Sonam will be paired with Ayushmann Khurrana of ‘Vicky Donor’ fame.
A source confirms the news, by saying: “She is very excited about the role… She is looking forward to it because she wants to play the role to complete perfection. She wants to be well-prepared before she faces the camera for the film, which is why she will be devoting time to specially prepare for her part well in advance.”
Sonam is even reportedly blocking some time on her calendar to meet with young lawyers, in order to understand their body language, demeanour and general style. Sonam’s upcoming films include ‘Raanjhana’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, opposite Farhan Akhtar.
