While fielding the ball Sonu twisted his ankle and suffered two major fractures in the leg. The actor said to be in acute pain is being brought back to Mumbai on Sunday evening for urgent surgery.

Said a friend of the actor, “Sonu would be off his feet for at least one and a half months. There are three Hindi films and at least three South Indian films on the floors featuring Sonu in various stages of completion requiring his shooting dates. God only knows what would happen to them.”

The ankle surgery is not being performed Dubai as it would render him immobile in Dubai for at least two weeks. The actor flew into Mumbai late on Sunday evening in acute pain and was immediately admitted into the Kokilaben Dhirabhai Ambani hospital.

About the various on-the-floor projects that would get affected Tiwari says, “There are three films which Sonu was to begin shooting between this week and the end of the month. In fact he was to join the unit of Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Zanjeer’ from tomorrow (Monday). So that projects immediately gets affected. Then we were to start a new film with Sony Picture called ‘Darr In the Mall’ later this month. And from March 1 Sonu was to begin shooting for Prabhu Deva’s ‘Rambo Rajkumar’. All three schedules stand cancelled. What to do? These things happen. At the moment we are concerned only with Sonu’s condition. We’ll work out the shooting setbacks later.”

Prabhu Deva whose ‘Rambo Rajkumar’ was supposed to start from March 1 with Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonu Sood brushed off the schedule. “We want Sonu to get well. We’ll work out new dates whenever he’s able to shoot.”

“Screw the schedule. I am only concerned about Sonu right now,” said Lakhia emotionally.
