MUMBAI: Oh how we love seeing Bollywood’s child actors grow up, especially if they turn into bindaas bombshells!

Case in point: Sana Saeed.

One remembers her fondly as little ‘Anjali’, the cute, slightly chubby pre-teen in Karan Johar’s popcorn romance film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. The adorable kid played Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji’s 8 year old daughter in the film. Bubbly, vivacious and spunky, she was the binding force between Shah Rukh and Kajol in the second half of the film. And who can forget the way she cutely referred to her namesake, camp teacher Kajol as “Miss Anjali”!

But the little one is all grown up now. Last seen (and widely appreciated) in yet another Karan Johar film, ‘Student of the year’, Sana is all grown up and sexy as Tanya, a high school student whose mother advises her to wear “push-up bras” to seduce the boys. What an absolute image makeover, and what a sea change, we say!

Sana was recently spotted at the Global Peace Initiative, walking the ramp for designer Neeta Lulla at the fashion show. The event was held at the Wellingkar Institute. We saw Sana posing and preening for shutterbugs, in a black lacy singlet and high waisted pants. For the show, the bubbly teenager sported a more conservative look: that of an ethnic, beautiful black woven sari.

With such a dramatic makeover, we are sure filmmakers are lining up outside her door. One only hopes she doesn’t get typecast as the quintessential “sexy siren”, for she is an extremely talented actor who proved her mettle as a mere 10 year old in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.

She had even once famously proclaimed that she would love to romance her once upon a time screen dad, SRK on screen. As creepy as that may sound, we say: why not? If Shah Rukh and Aishwarya can play siblings in one film and lovers in the next?

Mr. Khan, are you listening?
