Hyderabad police task force stormed a pub run by a five-star hotel in Hyderabad’s posh Banjara Hills on Sunday. The Force smashed an after-hours party and seized narcotics, including cocaine and marijuana.
The ones interrogated included prominent film actress and former Union minister K Chiranjeevi’s niece Niharika Konidela, Bigg Boss Telugu winner and famed Tollywood singer Rahul Sipligunj, and Telugu Desam Party MP Jayadev Galla’s son Siddharth Galla.
According to a senior task force police official, the pub, which was supposed to close at 11 p.m., remained open past that hour, and a considerable number of men and women were partying there at the time of the raid.
The bar only accepted a small number of customers and guests for the sole aim of making money. “They’ve decided to keep the pub open till 4 a.m.” “A smartphone application was being used in which a code gets generated for each client, and customers can only enter the code at the main entrance to get admittance to the pub,” the police said.
Defenders of the accused stated that their protégé has no connection with narcotics and that they are not to blame for the pub’s late hours.
