Legendary actor Pran passed away today. He passed away at Lilavati Hospital, where he was admitted due to a prolonged illness.
Pran is known for acting in over 350 Hindi films, notably in ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Don’, ‘Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai’. Pran had recently, in November 2012, been admitted to the same hospital after complaining of a respiratory illness, but was discharged soon after.
The actor known for his villanous roles was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award earlier this year.
The funeral takes place tomorrow, 13 July, at Shivaji Park crematorium at 12 noon. May his soul rest in peace.
