PUNE: For Sunny Leone it’s an exciting journey. From being a trained nurse, to an exotic dancer, to one of world’s top adult-movie star, and finally – Bollywood!
Being a ‘chief guest’ at the ‘Dahi Handi’ celebrations in Pune was like icing on the cake for Sunny, and same it was for thousands of people who had gathered as she took the stage in Pune, yesterday.

The day’s celebrations energy was filled all over in the air of Pune. About 40,000 people had gathered in the event organized by a group called Akhil Bawdhan Dahi Handi Mandal.
Amidst maddening cheers Sunny entered the stage. “Kasa kai Pune?” she said, and the cheers turned into screams. One could clearly hear words like ‘I love you Sunny’ and ‘Marry me’. Few even hurled abuses, but the ‘love’ cheers silenced the abuses!
“Sunny is awesome! We are so happy to see her here, and trust me… most of us have only come to see her”, said an excited Kirti Chemburkar who along with a group of 20-30 youngsters had waited for about 2 hours to get a glimpse of Sunny Leone.
While in Mumbai, members of the same party who organized this event in Pune, carried red faces when they saw posters of Sunny Leone’s first Bollywood movie ‘Jism 2’ on BEST buses, which had to be removed.
Apparently, local NCP leader Kiran Dagade Patil paid Rs 5 lakhs for Sunny Leone’s presence at the Pune ‘Dahi Handi’ event!
