MUMBAI: Even as Shoojit Sircar’s dream run at the box-office continues with ‘Madras Café’ ruling the roost, the director is ready with his next film with Ayushmann Khurrana on board.

The director had said that the project with Amitabh Bachchan was also on priority but looks like it will be Ayushmann’s film, which will take off first.

Speaking to Business Of Cinema, Shoojit said, “It was Ayushmann’s script that got locked first after Madras Café so we plan to work on this. The Amitabh Bachchan project to be written by Juhi Chaturvedi and me is also on the wish list. I am working on the drafts of the films.”

Like Shoojit Sircar’s previous ventures ‘Vicky Donor’ and ‘Madras Café’, John Abraham will play producer on this film too.

Speaking about the female lead apart from Ayushmann, Shoojit says, “Nothing is finalised yet. Only Ayushmann has been locked. I am still working on my drafts of the film.”

The film supposedly is about a small town boy who aspires to be an actor and will be mainly shot in Allahabad or Lucknow.

Whether it’s Ayushmann Khurrana and the new film or the dream-project with Amitabh Bachchan, with Shoojit Sircar currently in the best form, there’s a lot to look forward to.
