MUMBAI: Bollywood’s sexiest Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu is nearing the final rounds of promotions for her horror flick ‘Aatma’. We caught up with the leggy actress at Reliance Trends, with co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui in tow.

Bipasha has redefined the way audiences respond to horror films, uptil now considered a poorer cousin of the meatier, masala Bollywood entertainers. With the success of ‘Raaz 3’, Bipasha has become a household name in the horror film genre. Her latest flick ‘Aatma’ too is about supernatural occurrences and the story of a mother protecting her daughter from the ghost of her dead husband.

Looking effortlessly chic in an olive green one-shouldered dress, sexy Bips, as Bipasha is fondly known, was nervous on the eve of her film’s big release. She was seen speaking about ‘Aatma’ with her co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who chose a steel grey shirt and trousers for the promotional activity.

Also present at Reliance Trends was Suparn Verma, the director of ‘Aatma’, visibly anxious about the fate of his film, which hits screens today.

Bipasha touched upon her unconventional pairing with critically acclaimed actor Nawazuddin, when she said: “Never for a moment did I doubt that our casting would not work. In fact, people are really looking forward to seeing us on screen. It’s an interesting casting and the USP of the film.”

Lauding each actor’s involvement in the film, Bipasha said, “The first sequence that he (Nawaz) shot for the film was a monologue, and he got it right at one shot. Everyone present on the set wanted to stand up and clap. Every actor, right from the little child, Doyel to Nawaz was so involved. And if you get that kind of cast, there’s no room for complaints.”
