MUMBAI: Emraan Hashmi, not one to sit idle, seems to be cashing in on the delay in Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Badtameez Dil’, by allocating bulk dates to Kunal Deshmukh’s ‘Shatir’.

Many a time, Bollywood stars allocate their dates to a particular film, but when a delay happens, these dates go to waste. But Emraan wasn’t one to allow such a thing to happen, as he has managed to utilise his dates for Deshmukh’s upcoming film instead.

Said a source: “Emraan was gearing up to shoot for ‘Badtameez Dil’ but due to certain circumstances; the film is not starting as planned in the end of September. This left Emraan free.”

But now Deshmukh, who was supposed to begin filming early next year, brought forward the first schedule of his film starring Emraan. ‘Shatir’ will now start shooting around first week of October.

The source added: “Kunal is now gearing up to start the film next month around first week of October. The film will start in Mumbai and then take off to three different countries, London, Sydney and South Africa. The first schedule is a two month long schedule and going by that logistics, Emraan will continue shooting till the end of this year with Kunal only.”

Balaji Motion Pictures CEO confirmed the news of a delay in ‘Badtameez Dil’ going on floors, stating, “The script is still being worked on and we are marginally delayed because of a few creative changes. We will still release next year as per plan.”

It now looks like Balaji and Karan’s loss is Kunal Deshmukh’s gain.
