After Udta Punjab, Censor Board Rejects To Certify This Film

Haram-Khor

[tps_footer]There has been going a lot around Udta Punjab’s controversy with Censor Board since a week. Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab, which is based on drug abuse, landed into trouble over expletives, visuals of drug consumption and many scenes. Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani rejected to issue the certificate to the film but after the makers of Udta Punjab approached Bombay High Court, the film got clearance with only one cut.

Well, even though when Censor Board has been targeted and is currently in a place of troubles, the committee has once again stalled a small budget film Haraamkhor, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi in the lead roles. The film, which is based on a tuition teacher’s illicit affair with his underage student, is into Censor Board trouble. Reportedly, the board has refused to certify the film. As per reports, one of the producers of the film spoke to a leading website saying that Censor Board has rejected to certify the film as the entire theme of the film is objectionable, according to them.

Some reports also suggest that the major issue for not passing the film is due to the portrayal of a teacher in the film, as they can’t be shown having an affair with an underage girl. Well, the makers of the film are now planning to take the issue to the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal for fairer results.[/tps_footer]
