MUMBAI: Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business, Louise Asher confirms that one of Bollywood’s leading ladies Vidya Balan will be returning to Melbourne for the second time, as ambassador for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2013.
Speaking at The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2013 press meet held at Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai, Vidya Balan said,“The honourable ministers, secretary and commissioner, everyone of you present here, it gives me great pleasure to be the brand ambassador of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne for the second year in a row.”

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2013, to be held from 3-15 May will celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema and showcase and provide audiences some of the most celebrated films of the last century including India’s very first film ‘Raja Harishchandra’ (1913). The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2013 will further strengthen the Victorian government’s association with India and will build mutual understanding and appreciation of the respective film industries.
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2013 will also pay tribute to the late legendary film maker, Yash Chopra and will screen his final film, ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’. Yash Chopra’s wife, Pamela Chopra will visit Melbourne to accept his Lifetime Achievement Award.
Other guests attending The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2013 include Simi Garewal, Prabhudeva, Kabir Khan, Farah Khan, Avtar Panesar and Onir.
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2013 press meet held at Hotel Taj Lands, Mumbai was attended by Vidya Balan, Dipannita Sharma, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora. Vidya Balan looked stunning in sari, while Malaika Arora was seen flaunting her toned legs in a gorgeous gown.
