Imran Khan swayed us with his performance in Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, the movie was a critical as well as a commercial success. Imran was particularly praised for his performance in the film and he was titled as Bollywood’s new found blue-eyed boy.

Even after delivering fantastic performance in his debut film, Imran faced box office failure with movies Luck and Kidnap. Both his films bombed at the box office and Imran‘s performance too was criticised. After feeling the heat of two back to back flops, Imran received a sigh of relief and could see light in his career with Dharma Productions film, I Hate Love Stories. The film also featured Bollywood’s fashionista Sonam Kapoor in parallel lead opposite Imran.

Karan Johar, once again came to Imran‘s rescue when he was somewhat displaced in the industry by offering him Ek Main Aur Ek Tu. Film’s title song was a huge hit and the film performed well at the box office. Imran’s and Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s on-screen chemistry too received positive response from the critics as well as from audiences.

But now, it seems like all is not well between Imran Khan and Karan Johar, after the huge debacle of Punit Malhotra‘s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, it looks like Kjo has distanced himself from the blue-eyed boy of Bollywood. According to the sources, Shakun Batra, director of Ek Main Aur Ek Tu has dropped plans of casting Imran Khan in his upcoming film, also there were rumours building up that Kjo’s favourite director Punit Malhotra earlier too had considered Imran to cast him in his next, but looking at the GTPM’s box office wreck he seems to change his mind.

Shakun Batra’s upcoming movie is supposedly titled as Bhavesh Joshi, and according to the grapevines Kjo is been considering his current favourite Siddharth Malhotra for the role.

At the recently held Imran‘s wife- Avantika Malik‘s baby shower, Karan Johar was no where to be seen and he didn’t even bother wishing his once to be favourite actor on twitter, this gives rise to confirmation of somethings really not well between the two. While Imran still holds the banner of Dharma Productions in high esteem by not giving any negative statement against the producer in media.
