There were reports that King Khan will be replacing Ranveer Singh in Padmavati. Well, then there are reports that Hrithik Roshan and then again Ranveer again doing the role. Due to all this confusion on casting and equipment of Padmavati, the film is apparently shelved. Also, reportedly, the studio backing the film has run into a financial issue that had led the film to be on hold. But there is no official announcement, and the picture will be clear once Sanjay talks about it publicly.

Well, apparently, Sanjay is working on another script as a backup. The story he is working on is a solid love story. Well, according to reports, he is planning to cast SRK and Kangana in the film. If this really happens, Bollywood will witness another beautiful jodi of the King and Queen of the industry. Also, SLB and Shah Rukh gave us an iconic film Devdas. If they really work together it will surely be a treat to their fans and we will get another milestone love story by the duos.
SRK is having a tight schedule as he is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s The Ring in Prague. He will later start working on Aanand L Rai’s next in which he plays a dwarf man. Apparently, he also has a big project with Aditya Chopra. So, there are chances that if SLB really has a film with SRK and Kangana, the shooting might commence in 2018.
