Salman Khan Films COO Amar Butala reveals on Tubelight’s release in Pakistan and China.
Salman Khan starrer Tubelight is merely a few days away to hit the big screen. The actor along with his brother Sohail Khan is leaving no stone unturned for the promotions of the film. While the makers are heading for the film’s release, reports are doing rounds that Pakistan has banned the release of Tubelight apparently due to 1962 Indo-China backdrop. However, the makers have denied anything such to be the reason.
Well, talking about the film’s release in Pakistan, Tubelight’s co-producer Amar Butala at a recent promotional event said, “They have limitations on how many films they will release on Eid. So, we are still hopeful, the censor process is still on and we will know soon enough.”

He was also asked about Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which has done phenomenal business in China. When asked that Tubelight film also has a proper China’s connection, will it be released as a Chinese dubbed film in China, Amar Butala said, “There won’t be a day and date release because to release a film in China is a long process. There is a quota system and they watch the film after its (official) release.”
He further said, “Of course, we are very hopeful to release Tubelight in China and Bajrangi Bhaijaan is also in the pipeline.”
Tubelight is produced by Salma Khan & Salman Khan and directed by Kabir Khan. The film stars Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Zhu Zhu. Tubelight also stars child actor, Martin Ray Tengu. It is co-produced by Amar Butala.
