The film takes us through the heartbreaking reality of widows in some corners of India. The story is about a widow,  who is forced to abandon her hopes, dreams after she loses her husband. She finds a friend in another widow and learns to dream again and finally, takes a bold daring step and breaks through and cage and runs towards her freedom. Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, the film starred Ayesha Takia in the lead role.
