The 1957 melodrama, film Mother India is one of the most popular women centric Bollywood movie of all time. We, Indians regard our country as Mother and in this film, the protagonist fights with the whole society, after her husband leaves her. She takes care of her children, too. The film portrayed the true inner strength of woman. Directed by Mehboob Khan, the film starred Nargis, Sunil Dutt, Rajendra Kumar and Raaj Kumar in the lead roles.
