MUMBAI: At the recently aired Zee Cine Awards, the world looked on as the biggest stars of Bollywood shone bright.

Amongst the splendid performances that were witnessed, the ones that touched the audiences chords most, were those in memory of the legends who passed away in 2012.

After romancing Karisma Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh who was very close to the deceased director called upon stage Yashji’s other favourites: Sridevi, Poonam Dhillon and even Deepika Padukone.

Karisma Kapoor, who had won a national award for her role in Yash Chopra’s ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ took us down the memory lane with her ‘le gayi le gayi’. Anushka Sharma came in to the beautiful lyrics of ‘Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai’ and Katrina Kaif swayed to the beautiful melody ‘Saans’ from Yash Chopra’s swan song ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.
