The first release of the year 2016, ‘Wazir’ was high on the expectations because of its much adored trailer. ‘Wazir’ since its announcement was being termed as an intense movie which can be called as a disadvantage.

The mind triggering film Wazir’ lost out on family audiences because of its serious genre. With an amazing star cast, ‘Wazir’ witnessed a slow start on its first release date with an opening of 15%. The movie with such a slow start was expected to gain a mileage in the weekend but that too did not happen. The serious movie ‘Wazir’ could not create a mark on the collections because of its low publicity. The Bejoy Nambiar film did not create the needed awareness which proved to be a hassle.

Amongst the various glitches,’Wazir’ also could not gain the audience’s attention for its songs. The Farhan Akhtar, Amitabh Bachchan and Aditi Rao Hydari starrer film was nowhere on the chart busters when one talks about songs. The only positive trait was its eye grabbing trailer.
Coming to the weekend collections, after an average opening on the first day of its release, ‘Wazir’ was able to see a good number of audiences at the theaters on Saturday. The movie has had a disappointing number of audiences at the single screens but is witnessing growth in the multiplexes.

The day wise collection for the film ‘Wazir’ is, Rs. 5.40 crore net approx on Friday, Rs. 7 crore net approx on Saturday and Rs. 7.50 crore net approx on Sunday. The total weekend collection for the film comes to Rs. 19.90 crore net approx.
It is said that the film will do maximum business in the areas of Mumbai and Mysore. The film ‘Wazir’ has to receive an above average audience number on the weekdays to surpass the two weeks successfully.[/tps_footer]
