MUMBAI: Biopic film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, has had a bumper weekend at the ticketing windows.
The film, which is based on the life of Milkha Singh aka the Flying Sikh, and stars Farhan Akhtar as Milkha Singh, lived up to the hype it generated pre-release. Also starring Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta and Prakash Raj, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ has turned out to be a box office winner.
The film opened to fairly positive reviews and a heartening response at the box office on Day 1. As reported, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ managed to secure a fairly positive response in urban centres, including multiplexes. The film opened to approximate collections of Rs 92.5 million (Rs 9.25 crore net) on Day 1.
The three day total for ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is in the range of Rs 320 million (Rs 32 crore net).
