MUMBAI: Saif Ali Khan’s Illuminati Films’ ‘Go Goa Gone’, directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, has had a sub-par first day at the box office.

The unique zom-com released on 10 May to rave reviews across the board. But unfortunately, this did not translate similarly into collections on Day 1.

Starring Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tewari and Pooja Gupta, ‘Go Goa Gone’ managed a dull approximate of Rs 37.5 million (Rs 3.75 crore) net on its first day.

As expected, the film did better business in multiplexes of metros. Hopefully, with the sparkling reviews, word of mouth should pick up over the weekend. However, the genre and movie style are quite niche.
