MUMBAI: Fox Star Studios India’s recent release Predators has grossed Rs 53 million (Rs 5.3 crore) at the Indian box office in its opening weekend.
The movie stars Adrien Brody and is produced by Robert Rodriguez. Fox released the movie in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. According to Fox Star Studios, the Tamil and Telugu versions of Predators have got one of the best openings for a Hollywood film so far in 2010. In single screens around the country, the movie’s performance is much better than the Sonam Kapoor starrer Aisha.
Fox Star Studios’ previous releases this year namely The A-Team and Knight and Day have grossed Rs 110 million (Rs 11 crore) and Rs 160 million (Rs 16 crore) respectively at the Indian box office.

As was reported earlier by Businessofcinema.com, Fox Star Studios’ other releases this year include Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (24 September), Unstoppable (12 November), The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader (10 December) and Gulliver’s Travels (31 December). Additionally, James Cameron’s Avatar will be re-released in theatres worldwide on 27 August exclusively in Digital 3D and IMAX Digital 3D.
