MUMBAI: Abhishek Kapoor’s latest directorial venture ‘Kai Po Che’, produced by UTV Motion Pictures, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav, has managed to stay ahead of the competition even on Day 4.
‘Kai Po Che’ managed to witness a good collections of Rs 31.5 million (3.15 crore) on Monday, Day 4, which is heartening news because weekdays usually see a slump in business.
As reported,the film had opened with a decent approximate Rs 43 million (Rs 4.3 crore) on Friday, when it released in theatres. Saturday saw a better figure at Rs 61 million (Rs 6.10 crore) net, while Day 3 Sunday saw an even further jump start with collections of Rs 70 million (Rs 7 crore) net.
As was the case on Day 1, the weekend business was mostly from metros like Mumbai, Delhi and Pune. The film is still faring poorly in mass circuits like UP, Rajasthan, Bihar and Punjab.
The four day total of the film stands at approximately Rs 205.5 million (Rs 20.55 crore) net, which is a very impressive figure for a film featuring non A-Listers.
