MUMBAI: Director Rakesh Roshan’s threequel Krrish 3 starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi has its feet firmly planted at the box office.
As previously reported, after an impressive first week, on Day 8 Krrish 3 collected a good Rs 77.3 million (Rs 7.73 crore) net approximately. Saturday and Sunday – Days 9 and 10 – saw an upwards spike with collections in the range of Rs 112.1 million (Rs 11.21 crore) net and Rs 140 million (Rs 14 crore) net respectively.
This brought the 10 day total of Krrish 3 to about Rs 1.6 billion (Rs 160.28) crore net (hindi only).
Now on its 11th Day, which is a Monday Krrish 3 has collected close to Rs 46.7 million (Rs 4.67 crore) net (hindi only).
Including its overseas and other languages (Tamil / Telugu), the film is well above the Rs 2 billion (Rs 200 crore) mark. However, it would be truly very exciting, if the superhero flick Krrish 3 can achieve this figure with the Hindi market collections too.
This second week is key to the film because coming Friday another big Bollywood film – Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela is lined up for release; and the hype for it is super – strong.
