Sanam Re opened to a low occupancy of 15%. The film had a low collection on day one, it collected Rs 3.50 crore net approx. (Rs 35 million)
Sanam Re has done best collections in Mumbai (Rs 1.10 crore net approx).and Delhi (Rs 75 lakh approx). The film needs that big growth on Saturday, to have a decent weekend collection. Sanam Re has done better in places like UP, Rajasthan, Gujarat and CI. Fitoor also had very low collections on day one, it collected Rs 3.50 crore net approx. (Rs 35 million). When you compare both the films, it’s shocking, that both the films have collected similar box office figures. Though Fitoor was expected to out do Sanam Re, the collections for Pulkit Samrat–Yami Gautam starrer are not so bad.

Sanam Re is a story about a man who is confused with his love life and finally finds solace in his birthplace with his childhood love. While he finds his love in Akansha (Urvashi Rautela), will Akash (Pulkit Samrat) forget the childhood love Shruti (Yami Gautam), he left behind? Adding to the winter chills; the songs of the film are beautiful shot in picturesque locations in Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, Ladakh, Mumbai and Canada. Starring Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela the film released during Valentine weekend which added to the intensity of the genre of the film.
