[tps_footer]Katrina Kaif–Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Fitoor released on the same day with Pulkit Samrat–Yami Gautam starrer Sanam Re. Both the films have opened below the mark and are struggling at the box office.
Fitoor opened to a low occupancy of 15%. The film had very low collections on day one, it collected Rs 3.50 crore net approx. (Rs 35 million)
Fitoor has done best collections in Mumbai (Rs 1.10 crore net approx).and Delhi (Rs 71 lakh approx). The film needs that big growth on Saturday, to have a decent weekend collection. Fitoor is costly and the growth should be around 50% which will take it to a good level.
Based on Charles Dickens’ novel Great Expectations, the film holds you back till the last scene of the film. After Haider, actress Tabu has once again nailed it with her character Begum. The film portrays Noor’s passionate love for Firdaus, who bears all the hardship, emotions to achieve her, but succeeds at the end.
Fitoor directed by Abhishek Kapoor, features Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapur and the versatile Tabu in lead roles.
