Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha starrer R… Rajkumar released today, Friday, December 6, 2013. The initial reports suggest that the film has an average start at various regions.
The opening shows in Rajasthan, Gujarat, various cities in Maharashtra and Bihar saw in the range of 45-50% occupancy. On the other hand, the film has opened weak in northern states, Delhi and Punjab, where the opening shows registered in the range of 30-35% occupancy.
We spoke to few cine-goers in Gujarat and Rajasthan, who were about to enter the first show of R… Rajkumar. Rohini Sharma, along with her college group of 20-30 people were waiting impatiently at a multiplex in Ahmedabad. “We all are die-hard Shahid Kapoor fans, and reviews doesn’t matter. We all girls have never missed a Shahid Kapoor film, and so we are here,” said a very excited Rohini.
“Am sure it will be entertaining,” said Natasha Gupta, all set to enter the screening at a single screen in Rajasthan. The opening shows, mostly in Rajasthan and Gujarat saw more female audiences.
The overall opening garnered by Prabhu Deva‘s R… Rajkumar is in the range of 40-45%. Let’s wait for the figures to arrive.
