MUMBAI: Director Anand L Rai’s ‘Raanjhanaa’, produced by Krishka Lulla, and starring South superstar Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol, opened to an average response at the box office on Day 1.

The morning shows were slow with only 20% occupancy, however the evening shows picked up on Friday, 21 June. ‘Raanjhanaa’ managed to do an average business of about Rs 52 million (Rs 5.20 crore) net on day 1.
