Box Office: Rs 34 Crores For Akshay Kumar’s Entertainment

Poster-07Akshay Kumar‘s Entertainment Opening weekend Collections stood in the range of Rs 130 million (13 crores) as per early estimates of Sunday’s collections. Overall the film has managed to collect Rs 340 million ( Rs 34 crores ) net  at the Indian Box Office. The film showed a good jump in most areas especially in northern India.

Akshay Kumar‘s Entertainment Second Day Collections stood in the range of Rs 110 million ( Rs 11 crores) while the first day collections were in the range of Rs 100 million ( Rs 10 crores) net. Entertainment has not managed to show strength at the Indian Box Office on Saturday and Sunday

Single screens have  managed to pull through for the Akshay Kumar starer, the film only has one week to do its business as the makers of Singham Returns have booked all the major single screens across the country. Entertainment has had weak openings with multiplex screens so the business if likely to get affected badly due to the later s release.

Due to the limited marketing and pre release hype of the movie, the film has not managed as good as expected collection, although its opened decently with an average of fifty percent occupancy.

The film managed to make a dent to the superb run of Salman Khan’s Kick by taking away a lot of multiplex and single screens. Salman Khan’s Kick managed to collect only Rs 15 million (1.5 crores) net on Friday.

With Kick still doing well and Singham Returns starring Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor not to mention a successful franchises entry at the Box Office next week will affect Akshay Kumar‘s Entertainment collections for sure.

The weekend business of Entertainment has been average but the jump in collections is very encouraging for the business.
