Bollywood film ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ starring Salman Khan has started its first weekday run at the box office, and the Tuesday collections are here. The film experienced major downfall on Monday, but comparatively the Tuesday performance has not been much worse. A downfall of only 10-15% from the previous day was seen and ‘PRDP’ has raked in Rs. 10 crores net approx on Tuesday. The northern performance was much better than what it saw on first Monday of the film.

‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ only has two days left till its second weekend starts, and till then the film is expected to add another Rs. 14-15 crores to its collections. As predicted earlier the film will reach its second weekend with total collections of around Rs. 155-157 crores net approx. Friday performance is most crucial for the film as that determines how fast it can achieve the 200 crore mark which the film is now aiming for.

Earlier collections of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ saw Monday collections of around Rs. 11 crore net approx (110 million). After Sunday the total collection stood at Rs. 122.50 crores net approx (1.22 billion). Now with the Tuesday collections the total comes to Rs. 143.50 crores net approx (1.43 billion). The coming few days will see the figure rise above 150 crores leaving another 50 crore mark to be covered during the second weekend. Performances in Gujarat, Rajasthan areas are expected to contribute the most to this amount followed by the Mumbai belt.

After joining the 100 crore club so easily after its first weekend run, we now wait to see when does ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ manage to touch the 200 crore mark after its weekday run at the box office. The film will have to sustain the pace and maybe show a little growth in order to cover the ground on coming Friday.
