MUMBAI: The Ashima Chibber directorial ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’, starring Ram Kapoor, Saqib Saleem and Rhea Chakraborty, produced by Y Films has had a slow 5 days at the box office

As reported, on its first day ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ earned a low Rs 10 million (Rs 1 crore) net at the ticket counter. The first weekend (3 day) total of the film was in the range of Rs 44.5 million (Rs 4.45 crore) net, a dull figure.

With the weekdays, the film is now seeing a poorer performance. Including Monday and Tuesday, the 5 day total of ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ is close to Rs 61.2 million (Rs 6.12 crore) net.

The comedy movie, revolving around a boisterous Punjabi family and the son’s quest to retrieve his father’s lost Maruti car, saw it’s best business in parts of Northern India like Delhi and Punjab, which could connect with the content and tone of the film.
