MUMBAI: The very ethereal, the very beautiful and the very stylish Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was chosen to award and honour the Readers Choice Award for Social Impact at the recently held L’Oreal Paris Femina Women of Worth Awards in Mumbai.
Two days ago, the ceremony saw a host of Bollywood celebrities (including Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar) come together to honour women who have contributed to society in some or the other way. And Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was not far behind, who was chosen to award the Readers Choice Award for Social Impact.
Looking svelte and healthy in a gold sequined gown and a black blazer, Mrs. Bachchan was the epitome of class and grace, as she presented the award to Chetna Gala Sinha, for her Social Impact.
Said the lovely Bachchan bahu Aishwarya, “L’Oréal Paris, with its tag line – ‘Because You’re Worth It’ has always encouraged women to empower themselves, feel beautiful from within and lead an extraordinary life. Today I will be presenting the award for Social Impact which talks about women who have done phenomenal work to create solutions that have impacted the lives of so many people and I very strongly relate to the causes that these women are working towards.”
Aishwarya went a step further to praise the lovely lady who was awarded the honour, when she said, “ The woman who has been nominated in this category represents the changing face of modern India and the great success that lies ahead for our country.”
