MUMBAI: Ratan Jain’s action thriller ‘Tezz’, directed by Priyadarshan with an ensemble cast, had an extremely poor opening day of approximately Rs 40 million (Rs 4 crore) net.
With negative reviews and reports, the film is unlikely to sustain at all. Business at single screens in some circuits was average to low, and response at the multiplexes was the worst.
Rakesh Mehta’s Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi was a also non-starter at the box office.
Hate Story and Vicky Donor continued with an average trend in the first week, collecting in the range of Rs 107.5 million (Rs 10.75 crore) net and around Rs 130 million (Rs 13 crore) net respectively.
Housefull 2 still reigns at the box office with a three week total in the range of Rs 1065 million (Rs 106.50 crore) net.
