BOX OFFICE: ‘Zilla Ghaziabad’ Drops On Saturday, Settles At Poor 3 Day Total

'Zilla Ghaziabad' drops on Day 2, Saturday

MUMBAI: Production house Showman International’s ‘Zila Ghaziabad’ directed by Anand Kumar, starring Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi, Arshad Warsi and Paresh Rawal has fallen below average in it’s opening weekend.

As reported, the Day 1 collections of ‘Zilla Ghaziabad’ were extremely poor, with a business of approximately Rs 34 million (Rs 3.40 crore) net. The film saw an occupancy of an average 15 to 18%, and the only respite came from single screens in the mass markets of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar

Day 2, Saturday saw a notable drop in business with figures touching an average low at approximately Rs 29 million (Rs 2.9 crore) net. Sunday saw a mild rise which was not enough to bring ‘Zilla Ghaziabad’ into an average to decent opening weekend. The 3 day total of the film gloomily scrabbled around the Rs 105 million (Rs 10.5 crore) net mark.

‘Zilla Ghaziabad’ is not likely to be able to sustain over its first week, with stiff competition from the critically acclaimed ‘Kai Po Che’ directed by Abhishek Kapoor doing brisk business in most regions.
