Dangal collected Rs 20.75 crore (207.5 million) nett approx on its first Wednesday, taking the total 6 days collection to Rs 172.75 crore (1.72 billion) nett approx. The film witnessed a drop of 10% than Tuesday but continued to show miraculous run at the Box Office. The first week collection of the film is expected to round up at Rs 191 crore nett approx, which might turn up another record-breaking figure for the film on the list of highest first-week collection.

Dangal is based on the life of ace wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and the journey of his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat. The film is mainly based on wrestling and on how a father leaves no stone unturned to craft his daughters to become wrestlers at an International level.
