The two festive releases- Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay have received immense response all over. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Fawad Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma is a story about one-sided love, friendship, and unrequited love. Ayan (Ranbir) becomes a good friend of Alizeh (Anushka)and his friendship blossoms into love. But Anushka only considers him as a friend as she is in love with Ali (Fawad Khan).
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay is an action thriller about a mountaineer who goes to any extent to protect his family. The film is high with praises for its breathtaking visuals and VFX, which has turned out to be a key element of the film.
Now that both the films have locked horns at the Box Office, which film do you think will lead the race on its first day?
Karan Johar’s ADHM has managed to earn well on its first day and the collections come to around Rs. 13.25 crore nett. Considering festive release, the collections of the film are pretty much good and moreover, despite all the controversies the film has stood strong. The film is expected to continue with the same growth on the weekend.
On the other hand, Shivaay has seen lower start in comparison to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film has managed to collect around Rs. 8.25 crore nett. The film has got an average start but is likely to show a huge jump from Monday. The film had a low start at multiplexes and in big centers. It looks like the clash has dented the collections of the film.
