After Charlize Theron, Scott Eastwood Joins Fast & Furious 8 And Pays Tribute To Paul Walker!

With seven down the line, the cast and crew are gearing up for the eight-part. Two new additions have been made to this film. Charlize Theron, who gave a smashing hit last year with ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, has officially joined the film. The role of the actress has been kept under wraps but it is said she will be playing a villain.

Another new addition to the Fast family is Scott Eastwood. On Monday, April 11, 2016, the actor made his official announcement that he has joined the film. In a long Instagram post, Scott talked about the film and gave a tribute to late Paul Walker. Paul was one of the lead actors of the film till Fast 7. The actor lost his life in a traumatic car accident while they were filming the seventh installment. Scott wrote,

“Paul was a close friend of mine. We surfed together, traveled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is. He was an older brother to me. For me to be able to add to the F&F story, Paul’s story and the FAST family is like a dream come true. Paul – I am going to make you proud.”

Scott did not reveal much about his character but he did reveal that his name is Kurt Russell. He wrote “Now I can’t say too much, but I get to play a new character who operates under Kurt Russell in the movie, which is incredible because Kurt was a total childhood hero of mine growing up,” he wrote. “Very much looking forward to learning a thing or two from such an original and cool guy.”

‘Fast & Furious 8’ will begin its production this summer. Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez will reprise their roles. Directed by F. Gary Gray, the film is scheduled to be released on April 14, 2017.
